About Brightos
What we like about Brightos is how little it tries to be everything — it does blackletter, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Decorative and Dingbat Fonts shelf. 5.0 out of 5 from 2 reviews — a small sample, but it is the sample there is. It comes from Dansdesign. 81 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up.
A decorative face carries one word, maybe two. If you are tempted to set a whole headline in it, set it in the preview first and see what happens. We would use it the way the listing hints — black letter — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether blackletter was the description or the aspiration.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
