What we like about Bingo is how little it tries to be everything — it does alphabet, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Decorative and Dingbat Fonts shelf. It sits at 28 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it. The designer behind it is Nyla.studio. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist.
Check which characters really exist: decorative sets often stop at the capitals, and you find out when you need an ampersand. If you want one use for it, take beautiful: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
